from the word “ХТОНЬ” (Russian). a feeling of existential dread, darkness and a void of meaning. The album is a series of film photographs taken in my home city after returning there for the first time in several years. The works are an attempt to document this somewhat darker, more depressive or melancholic layer of life, captured in the city’s street scenes and snow-covered objects.
